We hope that you have had a good summer break. The program for the BNCS annual scientific meeting on 5th December 2011 is available. Please note that abstracts can be submitted until 31st October.
June 2011
BNCS membership subscriptions are due. Don't forget that the EANM is in Birmingham this year. The BSH meeting is scheduled for 24-25th November 2011. The BNCS AGM is on Monday 5th December 2011 in London.
Abstracts for the BNCS meeting should be sent to us electronically by end of October 2011 (administrator@bncs.org.uk).

The BNMS and ICNC meetings are almost upon us (see below). Don't forget to look at the BIR website for the Cardiac Imaging meeting on 19-20th May 2011 in London.

The OECD Nuclear Energy Agency is seeking for the assistance of the British Nuclear Cardiology Society on a study to assess future demand of molybdenum-99 (99Mo) and its decay product, technetium-99m (99mTc), the most widely used medical radioisotope. The NEA is seeking to better understand long-term future demand for 99Mo/99mTc, including any lasting impact of the recent shortages on this future demand.

Don't forget to register early for the BNMS and ICNC meetings in Spring 2011.
Deadline for BCS abstracts is 1st December 2010.
The ECNC survery of MPS activity is still ongoing. Previously the UK has been well represented. It is importnat that we maintain this link with the ECNC and we strongly urge all departments performing MPS in the UK to reply to the on-line survey.

The AGM of the BNCS for 2010 has been revealed. Please register your interest asap. Membership fees are unchanged.
The committee is delighted to announce that our key speaker this year is Prof Jeroen Bax (Leiden) enlightening us on "Sympathetic Innervation Imaging in Heart Failure with MIBG".
This year also includes a debate on cardiac CT between prof. Avijit Lahiri and Dr Andrew Kelion. Not to be missed!
